VTS Systems a Texas-based, family-owned business began developing software for the towing and storage lot industry in 2004 when its parent company Collision Management USA LP, joined with Chris Hulsey’s CKT Systems to further develop VTS 2000 a software application designed specifically for the Houston towing and VSF market into a global leader. The partners of VTS Systems, Nigel and Drew Pestell shared a vision with Chris Hulsey to take VTS 2000 from a successful local market product into a feature-rich and multistate compliant product, first Texas and then the North America and eventually the world.

Chris began developing VTS 2000 in 1996 and it wasn't long before he had established VTS 2000 as a must-have product in the Houston wrecker market. However, Houston is somewhat unique and although the software application was flexible it initially lacked the features to make it a must-have product for Texas and other states, that it has today!. That's where Nigel and Drew came in Chris is an exceptional code writer and his function is to write the code and develop the teams ideas and features necessary to keep VTS Classic a market leader. Each of the partners brings their own expertise which has added significantly to the development and success of today's VTS Classic.

Nigel spent more than 20 years in product development and marketing for Motorola, beginning in the 1970s when everything Motorola touched turned to gold, much like Apple today. As a global product manager for computer switched paging networks, Nigel is credited by Motorola with the development of two-way messaging, known today as SMS texting. After retiring from Motorola in 1996, Nigel joined startup company Crown Castle international Corp. (CCIC), as Vice President of Business Development. Crown Castle is a cell site consolidator and from 1996 to 2003 the Crown Castle team built or consolidated 16,600 cell sites in the US, UK and Australia; purchased and operated the transmission assets of Britain's BBC radio and television network, and consolidated much of the US cell tower market. To fund this development the management team raised more than $7 billion from private equity investors and public offerings on Wall Street, taking the company public in 1997 and moving to the New York Stock Exchange in 2000.

Drew, a certified Cisco network engineer spent much of his early working years building large customer call centers throughout North America and India. Drew was both project manager and switch guru, supervising others to pull the CAT5 cable and install upwards of 1200 PCs at each location. As the global call center market became saturated, Drew found himself downsized and it was then that he and Nigel decided that working for your own family-owned business had merit. Today, Drew occupies the company’s most important position that of customer and technical support, and his phone is always busy solving customer problems… If you call and the line is busy, leave him a voice message he'll get back to you ASAP! His wife, Donna helps out in accounting and marketing. Nigel handles business development, sales, marketing, training and compliance. Wife Julie handles bookkeeping and other finance duties and Jim Tortorice of TOWCFO.com is our part-time CFO. Thanks to our customers, business has grown steadily since 2004, based we believe on our customer first mission… “Our customers come first second and last!”
